AkzoNobel N.V. is a Dutch multinational paints and coatings company. In January 2008, AkzoNobel acquired Imperial Chemical Industries (ICI) for approximately £8 billion ($16.2 billion), inheriting ICI's Glidden Coatings & Resins business and its Macco Adhesives/Liquid Nails brand. AkzoNobel owned and marketed Liquid Nails as part of its North American Decorative Paints business until it sold that entire business, including Glidden and Liquid Nails, to PPG Industries for $1.05 billion in a deal that closed in April 2013.
