Founded in 2016 by Cornell engineering graduates and DARPA Grand Challenge veterans Aaron Nathan, CEO, and Bryan Galusha, the company has raised approximately 72.5 million dollars across four rounds, reaching a 230 million dollar valuation after a 35 million dollar Series C in November 2025 led by Khosla Ventures. Bolt, the predecessor to Baukunst, participated in Point Ones 10 million dollar Series A alongside UP.Partners, IA Ventures, and Ludlow Ventures.
