Alilauro

Alilauro is an Italian passenger ferry operator based in Naples, founded in 1944 by Agostino Lauro and still controlled by the Lauro family through Lauro Holding. The company runs fast ferry and hydrofoil connections across the Gulf of Naples, serving Capri, Ischia, Procida, Sorrento, the Amalfi Coast, and the Aeolian Islands, and the wider Lauro Group fleet carries roughly 3.5 million passengers a year. In 2022, Alilauro signed its first WIG craft order, a $16.5 million contract for five Aron M80 units to be delivered between late 2023 and 2025 for a Naples-area route, making it the launch customer for Korea's certified WIG craft industry. The company's founder and long-time chairman, Salvatore Lauro, died in March 2026; control remains with the Lauro family, and Alilauro renewed its board leadership in mid-2026.
