Yuichi Tamura is a practicing cardiologist who has worked clinically at the International University of Health and Welfare Mita Hospital while also leading Cardio Intelligence, the healthtech startup he co-founded. He began researching AI-based arrhythmia analysis with a middle-school friend and current Kyoto University professor in 2016, then founded Cardio Intelligence in October 2019 to bring that research to market as SmartRobin, a long-duration ECG analysis system aimed at earlier detection and treatment of heart disease.
