Varun Jampani is Chief AI Officer at Arcade, leading development of the generative models that turn text and image prompts into manufacturable physical products. He joined in October 2025 from Stability AI, where he was VP of Research and co-created Stable Diffusion 3.5, DreamBooth, and Stable Virtual Camera. Earlier in his career he was a senior research scientist at Google Research and a research scientist at NVIDIA Research, working on 3D reconstruction and generation from internet imagery. He holds a PhD in computer vision and machine learning, awarded summa cum laude, from the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems and the University of Tubingen, and a bachelor's and master's in computer science from IIIT-Hyderabad, India.
