Tuomas Rasila founded Sensofusion in 2016 after a career in the Finnish Defence Forces, drawing on a personal fascination with consumer drones to build counter-drone detection technology. Before Sensofusion he founded several other companies, including business information service Zefram, sales intelligence platform Vainu, and software development firm RND Works. He personally loaned money to Sensofusion to keep it running through a financially difficult stretch in 2020. Under his leadership the company's revenue grew from roughly EUR 700,000 to more than EUR 20 million over the 2020s, it closed a EUR 45 million Series B round in January 2026, and it has stated an ambition to list on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
