Torbjorn Olshoj Jensen co-founded Again in 2021, spinning the company out of a decade of research he conducted at the Technical University of Denmark, Stanford and MIT into engineered gas-fermenting bacteria. As CEO, he has led Again from a Copenhagen pilot plant consuming about a ton of CO2 per day to a company with commercial facilities in Denmark and Texas and, as of August 2026, ownership of San Diego biomanufacturing pioneer Genomatica. He holds a background in molecular biology and bacterial physiology.
