Tom Cowhey joined athenahealths leadership team as Chief Financial Officer in June 2025, overseeing accounting, actuarial, financial, investor relations, risk management, and tax activities. He previously served as EVP and CFO of CVS Health, before that as CFO of Surgery Partners, and earlier held senior finance roles at Aetna, including managing its US health plan business and leading the proposed Humana acquisition and pharmacy outsourcing to CVS/Caremark.
