Edmond (Ted) J. English is Executive Chairman of Bobs Discount Furniture, a role he has held since March 2016 after serving as CEO from November 2006. Under his leadership as CEO, the company more than doubled its store base and nearly tripled sales, placing it among the top 15 US furniture retailers. He began his career as a stock boy at Filenes Basement, joined TJX Companies in 1983, and served as its President and CEO from 2000 to 2005, during which TJX added over 900 stores and grew revenue from 8.9 billion to 15 billion dollars. He also serves on the boards of Burlington Stores and Rue Gilt Groupe.
