Matija Milenovic co-founded Hop Aero in 2024 and serves as CEO, raising 3 million dollars in pre-seed funding and winning a 1.25 million dollar SBIR award from the US Air Force. He previously founded and served as CEO of porkchop, a Stockholm-based electric propulsion startup for small satellites that launched on SpaceX Transporter-3, built a 400 million dollar-plus sales pipeline, and was later sold. He also worked as a systems engineer at Destinus, leading a 20-plus person team on a supersonic UAV, and helped scale Ukrainian loitering-munition production from 10 to over 100 units per month. He holds an MS in Aerospace Engineering from KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm.
