Mate Rimac founded Rimac Automobili in 2009 out of a converted garage in Croatia, building it into an electric hypercar and powertrain-technology supplier that now controls Bugatti through the 2021 Bugatti Rimac merger. He holds the CEO title at Bugatti Rimac while remaining founder and president of the parent Rimac Group, giving him simultaneous leadership of one of the industry's oldest hypercar marques and one of its newest electric-technology houses.
