Manuel Endres is a Professor of Physics at Caltech and a co-founder of Oratomic. His lab has worked on neutral-atom tweezer systems for over a decade and, in September 2025, assembled the largest neutral-atom qubit array to date, roughly 6,100 atoms trapped by lasers, published in Nature. He holds an MSc from Johannes Gutenberg-Universitat Mainz (2008) and a PhD in physics from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universitat Munich (2013, summa cum laude), and has been on the Caltech faculty since 2015, becoming Full Professor in 2021.
