Larry Gold, PhD, founded SomaLogic in 2000 and served as its first CEO before continuing as Chairman of the Board. An RNA biologist, he discovered the aptamer-based science underlying the company's SOMAmer protein-measurement technology. He previously founded NeXstar Pharmaceuticals, which merged with Gilead Sciences in 1999.
