Justin Johnson is a co-founder of World Labs, working on the research to product pipeline for its spatially intelligent world models. He was previously an assistant professor of computer science and engineering at the University of Michigan from 2019 to 2024, and a research scientist at Facebook AI Research (FAIR), where his work spanned visual reasoning, 3D vision, and image generation, including projects such as CLEVR, Mesh R-CNN, and PyTorch3D. He received his PhD from Stanford University in 2018 under the supervision of Fei-Fei Li, and his undergraduate degree in mathematics and computer science from Caltech.
