Frank Carsten Herzog is a co-founder and Managing Partner of HZG Group. He developed the LaserCUSING powder-bed laser melting technology in 1997 and, with his wife Kerstin, founded Concept Laser GmbH in 2000, growing it into a global leader in metal 3D printing before GE acquired a majority stake in 2016. He is named as an inventor on 55 property right families and 483 individual property rights, founded the Center of Next Generation Digital Technologies in Lichtenfels in 2019, and now backs early-stage additive manufacturing startups through HZG Group, including Rapid Liquid Print.
