Christoph Lassner is a co-founder of World Labs, bringing expertise in 3D graphics and spatial computing from prior roles leading research teams at Epic Games and Meta Reality Labs Research. In 2021 he developed Pulsar, an efficient sphere-based differentiable renderer later integrated into PyTorch3D and widely viewed as a precursor to 3D Gaussian Splatting. Before Meta, he worked at Bodylabs, a body-scanning startup acquired by Amazon. He completed his PhD at the Bernstein Center for Computational Neuroscience and the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems in Tubingen, following studies at the University of Augsburg.
