Hyun-wook Cho is the Chief Executive Officer of Aron Flying Ship Ltd., the Sacheon-based Wing-in-Ground-effect (WIG) craft manufacturer. Cho joined the venture around 2007 after receiving an investment proposal, then helped found and lead the company through more than a decade of R&D that produced the M80, the first WIG craft in the world to receive classification certification. He has since led Aron through its first international export deal, a five-unit, $16.5 million supply contract with Italy's Alilauro Group signed in 2022, and publicly projects the global WIG craft market could be worth tens of billions of dollars over the coming decades. Cho also holds director roles at the Korea Ocean Alliance, International Marine Leisure Week, and the Korean Institute of Fire Science and Engineering.
