Anirudh Devgan

President and Chief Executive Officer, Cadence Design Systems

Anirudh Devgan has served as President and CEO of Cadence Design Systems since December 2021, having been President since November 2017. He joined Cadence in 2012 from Magma Design Automation, where he was corporate vice president and a member of the executive staff, and previously held technical and management roles at IBM. Under his leadership Cadence has expanded from core electronic design automation into system analysis and computational life sciences, and pushed AI into chip design and verification workflows. He holds 27 U.S. patents, is an IEEE Fellow and a member of the National Academy of Engineering, and holds a B.Tech from IIT Delhi and an M.S. and Ph.D. in electrical and computer engineering from Carnegie Mellon University. He also serves on the boards of Lam Research, the Global Semiconductor Alliance, and the Electronic System Design Alliance.
