Andrew Sossen serves as Senior Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer of Starwood Capital Group, overseeing the firm's day-to-day management, operations, and strategy in conjunction with the CEO and President. He is responsible for Capital Raising and Investor Relations, Accounting and Finance, Information Technology, Portfolio and Risk Management, Sustainability, and Human Resources, while maintaining membership on the firm's Executive and Investment Committees. Sossen spent nearly 14 years with Starwood in various capacities, including as Chief Operating Officer of Starwood Property Trust from 2011 to 2023 and as the company's General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer. Prior to joining Starwood, he was General Counsel at KKR Financial Holdings and KKR Asset Management, and began his career at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP specializing in capital markets and mergers and acquisitions.
