Jane Street is a quantitative trading firm and electronic market maker founded in 2000, trading equities, ETFs, bonds, options, and digital assets across more than 200 venues in 45 countries. It has no formal CEO, instead run by roughly 30-40 equity-holding senior executives. In recent years the firm has deployed billions of dollars of its own trading capital into private AI and infrastructure companies, including a notable early stake in Anthropic acquired via the FTX estate in 2024, alongside CoreWeave and Etched.
