Colossal Biosciences raised an oversubscribed $150 million Series B round announced January 31, 2023, led by the United States Innovative Technology Fund (USIT), with participation from Breyer Capital, WestRiver Group, Bob Nelsen, Animal Capital, Victor Vescovo, In-Q-Tel, Animoca Brands, Peak6, BOLD Capital, and Jazz Ventures, among others. The round coincided with the launch of Colossal's Avian Genomics Group and its dodo de-extinction project, and brought total funding to $225 million.
