The Carlyle Group Acquires Secturion Systems

The Carlyle Group acquired Secturion Systems, a Centerville, Utah maker of NSA-certified hardware encryption products, marking the first investment by Carlyle's new middle-market Aerospace, Defense & Government and Industrials platform, launched in May 2026. Sean Berg, former CEO of Everfox, was named Secturion's new CEO, while Josh Falslev and Derek Owens remain COO and CTO respectively. D.A. Davidson served as exclusive financial adviser and Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati as legal adviser to Secturion; Latham & Watkins advised Carlyle. Terms were not disclosed.
