American Industrial Partners (AIP) acquired 100% of PPG's architectural coatings business in the U.S. and Canada for $550 million, in a deal announced October 2024 and completed December 2, 2024. The carved-out business, including the Liquid Nails brand, was renamed The Pittsburgh Paints Company.
