The Metals Company
The Metals Company (Nasdaq: TMC) is a Vancouver-based developer of lower-impact critical metals sourced from polymetallic nodules on the seafloor of the Clarion Clipperton Zone in the Pacific Ocean. Formerly DeepGreen Metals, it went public via SPAC merger in 2021 and holds exploration and commercial-recovery rights to nodule deposits containing nickel, copper, cobalt and manganese, which it aims to process into battery and industrial metal feedstock while pursuing U.S. and international regulatory approval for commercial recovery.
