PlasmaLeap

PlasmaLeap Technologies is a Sydney company whose plasma reactors make ammonia and nitric acid for fertiliser using only air, water and renewable electricity, bypassing the fossil-fuelled Haber-Bosch process that dominates global nitrogen production. Its A$30 million round in March 2026 was led by the Gates Foundation and co-led by Investible and Yara Growth Ventures, with GrainCorp Ventures and Ravensdown's venture arm also investing. First fertiliser hubs are planned for New South Wales and Tasmania.
