Oceanloop

Oceanloop is a Munich-based aquaculture company that farms marine seafood on land in recirculating systems, starting with giant grouper, as a local alternative to long-distance seafood imports. Its research farm near Kiel began sales in April 2026 at 20 to 30 tonnes a year, with a 250-tonne Kiel farm and a 2,000-tonne Gran Canaria facility planned. In August 2026 it secured up to 38.5 million euros, including a European Investment Bank venture-debt facility and equity from Hatch Blue and Stolt-Nielsen's venture arm.
