Culligan International
Culligan International is a global leader in consumer water treatment and filtration, offering water softeners, drinking water systems, and whole-house filtration through a network of franchise dealers in more than 90 countries. Advent International acquired Culligan from Centerbridge Partners in December 2016 for approximately $915 million, and built the company into a global platform through more than 300 acquisitions, including the $1.1 billion purchase of AquaVenture Holdings in 2020. Advent sold a majority stake to BDT Capital Partners in May 2021 in a transaction valuing Culligan at approximately $6 billion, retaining a minority position.
