Credit Union of Texas
Credit Union of Texas (CUTX) is a member-owned, not-for-profit financial cooperative chartered in 1931 by a small group of Dallas teachers, starting with just $65 in assets. Now one of the largest credit unions in the country, CUTX serves more than 180,000 members across 13 branches in North and East Texas, offering checking, savings, auto and mortgage lending, and business banking, along with an auto-leasing subsidiary, FairLease. The company consolidated its corporate headquarters in Allen, Texas in early 2022 and has been repeatedly recognized as a top workplace and for its ethics and community engagement, including a student-run SMART Branch operated inside Allen High School.
